Collaborative design project Singapore-Oslo

Globalization is making our world smaller with increasing homogenization in design. We have diminishing national variations in design and may end up losing our national or regional visual character and identity. This project within packaging design focuses on the values of expressing national recognizable visual elements through packaging design for Norwegian seafood and Singaporean food products.

The collaborative packaging project was carried out by assistant professor Nanci Takeyama and the students of Nanyang Technological University School of Art, Design and Media in Singapore together with associate professor Margaret Rynning and the students of Westerdals Oslo School of Art, Technology and Design in Norway.
